About the Play

Blink is a modern, dark, witty, fast, romantic comedy two-hander about a distanced relationship that develops between two social misfits, through the walls of their London flats. Sophie (IT Programmer, care giver, introvert) and Jonah (raised on a religious commune in Yorkshire – OCD and socially inept) plus a mangey old fox, called Scruffilitis

Whilst charming and delightful, the play is equally disturbing and intriguing, and has you wondering if it weren’t for the ‘love’ would this be a psychological thriller?

A fascinating short play (70-75 mins) - I am looking for two extraordinary actors to find these multi-faceted characters

Characters

Jonah - Geeky, awkward, fidgeting with chronic OCD, social ineptness. Will be required to play other characters in the play. Young adult (probably playing age 20-30), but flexible – its more important that I have a believable pairing.

Sophie - Introvert, grieving, innocent. Will be required to play other characters in the play. Young adult (probably playing age 20-30), but flexible – its more important that I have a believable pairing.

BLT actively encourages auditionees from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and any of the above parts could be played by any race.
