Postcards from Edge

A huge thank you to Claire Lewis and her team for Goodnight Mr. Tom and Arabian Nights. Great performances and how did the children manage to organise all those props and stay on their lines? Amazing!

May is shaping up to be a busy month….

We are now looking forward to Louis Craig and Gary Nock’s production, Urinetown the musical (13th to 20th May). I hear, on the grapevine, that it’s amazing… which comes as no surprise having seen their last two productions at BLT (A Little Night Music and Love Story). Can’t wait to see it. Break a leg everyone!

Hot on its heels will be our second Fringe Festival The Effect, directed by Tess Gill.  It is shaping up to be a great production!  The Effect opens on Tuesday 30th May and runs until Saturday 3rd June.

Tickets for both of our Fringe Festival productions are available online at www.brightonlittletheatre.com or by calling 0844 888 0432.

Following on from the AGM, we are now in Season Planning mode for 2017/18. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what directors have in store and seeing the forthcoming Season take shape. As ever we will be looking to plan a new Season which gives our audiences variety and offers our members a range of acting opportunities.

The news on the theatre renovation is that the plans, currently displayed in the theatre bar, have gone to Brighton and Hove City Council for planning approval.

With best wishes

Felicity Clements
