Urinetown - The Musical

Saturday 13th - Saturday 20th May

With just a week until our first performance rehearsals are starting to come thick and fast and the realisation of the scale of complexity of this manic piece of musical theatre have really started to hit home.

Costume, make up, set design, build and most importantly the production itself have really started to align and I think (finally) everyone has a total understanding of what I wanted this piece to look and feel like!

Anyone who's done anything with me before knows that sometimes the idea section of my brain goes a little bananas but we are all incredibly excited to get to show you what we've all been working incredibly hard towards.

Gary has been drilling the music and it sounds amazing, Katy has done an extraordinary job with the choreography on the hallowed Little stage and the cast are doing their level best not to corpse at every opportunity and, oh my, there are opportunities aplenty.

When we first submitted this piece we knew it would fit perfectly with 'The Fringe' and the challenges of putting on such a complex and barmy piece along with making room for musicians and a large cast have pushed us all hard.

Cath Prenton's amazing set design, Patti's hair and make up ideas, Michele's props and Frankie's costumes all fit perfectly with the madness and we hope everyone has a brilliant time watching the fruits of our labour.

I look forward to seeing you in the audience.

Louis Craig
Director
