A small group has been formed steer the redevelopment project. The team is headed up by Felicity Clements (Chair) who is supported by Leigh Ward (Treasurer), Steven Adams (Secretary), Gerry Wicks (i/c Fundraising) and David Peters. This group has been working hard over the last few months and has been in conversation with the wider theatre committee.
Now that we have planning permission from Brighton & Hove City Council, we can move forward with our exciting plans for the redevelopment of the theatre.
These plans will be presented to the membership on Saturday 14th October at 7pm at the theatre. This will be an opportunity for you to hear about the redevelopment and the plans. Our architects, Deacon and Richardson, will also be there. There will also be an opportunity to talk about financial aspects, funding, timescales and phasing of the work. Similarly, it will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. As this is a formal, rather than a social function, only fully paid up members will be admitted to the meeting.
Following this, on Sunday 29th October at 7pm, we will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). Details of this were circulated a couple of weeks ago. The EGM will ask members to provide their backing for the project. Please do come along and cast your vote. If you are unable to attend you can send in a ‘proxy vote’.
